Stash & Treasure was described by it’s organisers as an ‘art and crafters recycling, decluttering, stash busting sale’. I heard about it at the last minute via the Frankie magazine blog and as it was in my neighbourhood I thought I’d wander down and take a look. The market was held inside the beautiful Marrickville Town Hall, entry was a gold coin donation which was donated to the Miracle Babies Foundation. On sale were vintage and antique fabrics; old books and sewing patterns; threads and wool; hand dyed linen and silk; and much more!
I actually ended up buying the piece of kimono fabric being displayed in the above photo, one day it shall become a scarf!
These old photographs also found their way home with me. I have no idea what I am going to do with them yet but I’m sure I’ll find a use.
You can follow Stash and Treasure on Facebook if you would like to find out about any future markets.
